The device cannot be stopped.....

    Very often when I try & stop an external drive after transferring files to it's folder, I get a statement...The device "generic volumn" cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it. There are no other pgm's in there to be stopped. Why the statement & can it be closed by turning it off at it's on/off switch? Thankyou

    With your USB connected Go to Disk Management, Right Click Disk Number on the left,Properties/Policies and tick box for quick removal. ;)
