I have searched on Google and everywhere else regarding this issue. I am stuck in the bind because no solutions worked for me so far.
I am having issues with Delayed Write Failure with two of my WD800JB drives that are managed on RAID Controller, which are obviously shown as one drive.
Western Digital suggests the following solutions:

    * The IDE cable is a 40-wire instead of the required 80-wire, 40-pin cable.
This can't be because the cables are correct

    * The Enable write caching on the disk feature for the drive is turned on.
I am not given such option b/c both drives are on RAID

    * The BIOS is configured to force faster UDMA modes than the EIDE controller can support.
Can't find this option. I didn't make any changes or touched my BIOS in months.

However, I recently tried to change my power supply from 310W to 450W, but the new one didn't work so I returned it.
So now I am at 310W again. I also added another DVD-RW Drive to my system.

So I am just wondering if maybe this has to do with power supply. Or if I completely format the drives would help anything? Or should I return them to the manufacturer?

    Here are my system specs:

More power would definitely help, I'm sure someone will be along to be more specific however this is a given.

    Have a look at this

    http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/

My result is about 400 Watts with almost everything regular plugged in, got a 550W just to be sure. I thought not much point in lashing out on great parts if you don't get the basics right.

    Just sayin'

    :)
