The "e" in cafe

Can someone help me with how you get the "e" in cafe to have the little accent over it?
My mind is blank.

I've been using this Firefox extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/459 Works great in many languages.

 

Or just hold down the Alt button and type 0233 for é and Alt 0200 for È.

Fred G.'s solution works well. That is what I have been using but you have to look up each code in a chart unless you have them memorized. BTW, I think you have to use numeric keypad for Alt-codes.

 

You're more than welcome sach2. The nice features are that one can set up any language easily, then select the selected language in the context menu. A list appears. To select the ö, é, è, whatever you fancy, just click on the letter with the character you want. Poof.... right there. :drool

I want to thank everyone for their help. Lots of good ideas, though. So far, none are working for me. I guess I should have explained I am trying to use it in Dreamweaver, with writing code. Guess I will keep trying......
