Some friends of mine found there website here and were rather worried to say the least believing it was real. I don't know if any of you buy into the whole "end of the world" mumbo jumbo but the site had some of my friends up in a panic :banghead. Hopefully none of you get sucked into this viral marketing ploy. Read here and here.

I've got to admit that if I would have stumbled onto that site, I would have never thought that that was a promo for a movie. Then again, I wouldn't have fallen into that 'end of the world' hype either, but ya gotta admit, it DOES look very real!! It took somekind of imagination to dream that one up!:-D In all honesty, from the trailers I've seen, I'd like to see that one!

What really gets me is there is no fine print or anything stating that its a form of advertising. Didn't they learn anything from the war of the worlds? :mad

I'm like Stubby I want to see that movie . looks like a good one.
I'm really surprised that they didn't add something from here http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2006/10mar_stormwarning.htm into it some how. This is the first I've heard of the movie 2012. But have been getting bits and pieces of the big sun storms that are predicted for 2012. They say some modern technology will be effected by it.
Gees people can't make calls, others will get lost, and most will carry umbrellas on a sunny day not knowing if it's going to rain or snow. and what of the computer:eek:neener
yes the world will end as we know it but come on people not in our life time or even our 3rd great grand children's time. I remember "The War Of The Worlds.Weren't a lot of happy folks when they realized it was just a story.

Wow. Awesome graphics. I saw the preview of this in the movie I just saw two nights ago. Looks pretty good actually.

Not to disparage your friends or anything, Ace, but right down at the bottom of the screen it gives the Sony copyright info and says "Explore the 2012 movie experience". LOL

Leave it up to 'Hawkeye Laura' to find the fine print:-D I didn't even see that, but it's there:-o I guess I, like your friends Ace, got so engrossed in the graphics and the message that that part sort of just slipped by!
