    :) :) fyi I followed threads to remove this adware without success as it was sooooooo confusing with all the different downloads and steps. But I found a thread on another forum to use spy sweeper which I downloaded, fixed and removed all problems and immunized my computer all in 10 minutes. It is now gooooooone, and I am so happy.
    Just wanted to tell all about this miracle, I was so frustrated with the lines of instructions from this forum and other forums that I was going to pull all my hair out and toss my computer out the window. Now thankfully, I still have my hair and my computer and no web hijacker. ;)

    I'm happy to see you have your current problem worked out. However, the tutorial threads are really not that confusing, and they are necessary for many of the other problems that exist. You were just lucky that SpySweeper happend to fix this problem. In many cases, you will find one spyware removal tool can repair things another cannot. They each have their pros and cons. That is why several are typically required. You will also find that in many more cases that none of the spyware or virus removal tools will fix certain problems and more detail manual processing is required. Our tutorial is meant to cover the majority of the simple case as well as a large number of the more comples cases. Hundreds of people go thru these steps each day. While it may at first look complicated, it is really not that bad, and you may yet find that someday you will need to perform these steps if you come down with a more complex infection.

    Just a question though! Are you sure it is really gone? Have you reboot a few times and performed some surfing in between. I have fixed quite a few of these particular hijackers in this forum.

    I don't think this is a big problem to fix. See the below thread for a current example:
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=48080

    There are other problems in that thread besides t.swapx

    Just try going to some of the URL's listed in the threads where the problem has been discussed.

    Try these:
    http:://t.swapx.cc/h.php?aid=20009
    or
    http:://win-eto.com/hp.htm?id=9
