    really never heard that one before ... the first thing I'd do is in command prompt, with you original CD in the drive type;

    sfc /SCANNOW

    then after this is complete, restart and boot from original CD, if is Vista load command prompt, if XP, press r when prompted. Once command prompt is ready, type;

    chkdsk /r

    once their both done, see if you can run a MBAM scan, if not, remove MBAM, redownload and rename the download to MA, when installing it, install to .....\MA\ and when setup is finished, untick update and launch when finish is clicked, then go to the folder and change the exe to MA.exe once this is all done, try to run a scan.

    BTW I'm assuming you're running XP or Vista

    its alright ... the XP Pro disk will do fine ... you're not actually upgrading to it ... just utilising the files to repair your system. Ok well ... in your start menu, click Run, and then in run type cmd and hit enter ... once the application has loaded, put your XP Pro cd in the drive and exit out of anything that pops up ... then go back to the black CMD screen and type sfc /SCANNOW ... once that's done tell me :)

    what program were you running when you got the error?
    One solution I saw was to uninstall the program and do a clean install of the same program.

    Hi Pacamaru,

    Glad you got it worked out but to be safe you should attach needed logs in a new thread in the Malware Forum here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35

    They're experts in Malware removal and will check your logs to make sure your system is clean, we only do software issues in this forum. If you have any questions on how/what to attach, most are answered in the READ & RUN me guide link in my post above.

    (Copied from READ & RUN ME)
    An Admin might remove the logs here, so don't be surprised if they go poof.

    This message was caused by a cloaked malware virus on my pc which i recently just fixed thanks to pervx3.0. The virus reset my vista password and wouldnt let me put in a new one:cry. Then I tried to use system restore, again same thing:cry. I also tried to use my vista upgrade cd in windows and boot up with it.....again same thing:cry:cry!!!! All 3 things I tried would pop up the maximum number of secrets crap error. Instead of going thru a big hassle of somehow deleting it yourself. If you're getting similiar problems then get the pervx3.0 scanner to see if it detects anything. If it does then I highly suggest to pay only $15 for a 1month subscription to fix them. It's better then backing up everything you've got....get a new hard drive....waste at least $100+. This method definitely works so no need to fear lol.

    Also i forgot....when i tried anti-superspyware, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, and a-squared Anti-Malware they would lock up themselves when their scanner reached the system32 folder.
