The Most Awesome Weekend...

I took the plunge, and drove to Dallas to meet some peeps on another site. 18 peeps I think, some liberals, conservatives, bring it. And we all has a blast! We loaded down the hand baggage cart several times bringing the guns and ammo to the cars.

Honestly, I felt like I was meeting people I have known for 20 years and had not seen in 10 years. And these are just people on a forum. It was awesome. :-D

We shot a lot. One person makes ammo.... Shot some high dollar 1911's. And they are nice. But the owners of those guns shot my budget 1911 and it got a good rating.

I am honored to have met and shaken the hands of these gentlemen.

And nothing like being in Texas, where nobody cares that you have an obvious assault rifle you are taking to your room, or out of it. Or a pile of them....

I have made friends for life. And some say the interweb is not personal.... Who knows. :-D

Texas state law requires every 16 year old, on his 16th birthday, be issued a drivers license, a 12 gauge and a bottle of Jim Beam.

 

I would almost believe that with the large diverse races and the number of women at the range we shot at, except nobody was drinking... Maybe they all finished the Jim Beam last weekend. :-D

 

I was disappointed with the lack of at least an attempted murder or serious injury what with all the guns we had at the place... People went out to eat and were carrying guns. Will all the talk of a bloodbath in the streets if people are armed...

Well, to want to get HBT on it. Now I am off to wash clothes, buy groceries and all the stuff I normally do on the weekend. :cool
