My beloved Green Bay Packers just won Super Bowl XLV, and the Lombardi Trophy has returned to its rightful home - TitleTown, USA...

    Thanks, DLS!

Great game - man, those Steelers are tough! Thought for sure when Driver, Woodson and Shields all got hurt, it was going to be curtains. Gutsy, gritty performance by the Packer defense, and Aaron Rodgers played like the MVP he is.

    YooHoo!!!

Congrats to you Packers. Unfortunately for me, the Packers showed up for the Super Bowl, and my Steelers showed up for a preseason scrimmage. :cry

    We're #2! We're #2! :-D

I did have some Yuengling beer for the first time. And, one person brought the Holy Grail of Super Bowl snacks... pork, wrapped in bacon, topped with cheese... :drool Plus we had deer balls (deer meat wrapped around a jalapeƱo and cheese, with, yep, bacon wrapped around it.)

Not to be HBT, but, since the game was in a dome, couldn't we have skipped the fly over? Would have saved a few dollars...

And for you Packers fans, beat this guy's collection of Packers stuff: http://myarklamiss.com/fulltext?nxd_id=80966

Well first off congrats to the Packers and they had a solid team all the way to the QB. I knew they were doing great the last few games and the QB IMO having his best year. But I wanted Bears vr Steelers.. my 2 fav teams. BUT since no Bears then Steelers to win.. I just think Steelers didn't fight enough and had many mistakes. They gave packers 2 TD early with mistakes.. but came back to win and IMO packers werent doing to good towards the end. BUT still packers won and now is champions!

Like most Aussies, I find it hard to understand American football ( called gridiron here).

Why does the clock stop sometimes when play stops, and other times the clock keeps running when play stops? Beats me. :-D

Yeah, American football does have some awkward rules, especially to those who have never played the game. Suffice it to say that clock management is a critical part of the game - it didn't have too much effect in this Super Bowl, but there are many instances when poor use of timeouts, hurry-up offenses, slow substitutions, etc. have decided close contests.

Thanks, everyone - it's been a long, grueling season, and The Pack had to overcome some key injuries early in the year to even make it to the playoffs. My hat's off to them - they played like champions.

Simple Bazza. We added the clock running, and stopping to confuse Aussies. :-D
