The procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not belocated in the dynamic link

    I am trying to find a solution to the problem of running internet explorer 8 because my computer says that it can not find SHRegGetValue in the dynamic link library SHLWAPT.dll. I am fairly new to computers and don't know what this means or how to rectify it. Help please!
