The remote procedure call failed...

    Recently, I tried to access Norton Ghost 9.0 for a back and I received the message:

    "The remote procedure call failed and did not execute". I removed and reinstalled NG and still get the same message.

    Symantecs website was useless.

    Using WinXP home.

    When you re-installed NG9, did you also install all the liveupdates?

    What OS are you running? I see XP, but any service pack? All updates?

    Does eventviewer say anything?

    Everything was reinstalled. The event viewer does not show anything. RPC is set active and running. It worked before, but suddenly stopped working with this message.

    Event viewer shows this after last try:

    Description: An error occurred while starting Norton Ghost service. Error E9290006: RTC file is missing.
