Under local services I can't remedy the problem of the RPC server being unavailable. Even after setting it to automatic and setting it to start I'm unable to get the pc to install the printer (note the printer does install to other machines as I tested it with another laptop) I can't start the Print Spooler as well when I attempt to do so I get error 2 The system can not find the file specified.
Thank you for your help in advance.:confused

I fixed this problem with my machine today:-D:
    Do this:

    1. Open registry editor
    2. Make sure that you backup your registry first, then
    3. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\spooler
    4. Double click DependOnService
    5. Delete all values in box
    6. retype RPCSS
    7. Click OK...then close registry editor.

    Restart your machine.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for your feedback. The Value RPCSS was there and I deleted and retyped, rebooted but no change. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
