The Sifu And The Dumb Drummer

Occasionally, I tell a story about my old friend and lead signer, John "Mountian" Walsh. he was Sifu of Wing Chung and used to hold the record for knocking people down in a line with a 1-inch punch, like 20 people or something like that. Being science-driven and an old wrestler -- I called bullshit. No way that a tiny fist held one inch away from a large mass body could knock the body down if prepared..... It had to be a push and mass reaction.

John kindly had his students get me a comfy chair. I stood in front of the chair and prepared. He prepared -- and he planted my ass in that chair. I have tried to describe what it was like. I have never done it justice. THIS is what it looked like.

very doable -- my day of training are long and gone. But KM is pretty linear.

I was going to take Irish Stick fighting classes before the pandemic. Not for the meek.
