So, I just joined the 21st century and installed high speed internet via cox cable (stop laughing & shaking your head in disbelief). Now I can't update my AVG. When I try I get this 'Select Dial-up connection' box. There are no selections in the drop down box and this thing is driving me nuts!

See, dial-up connection wasn't so bad. It may have taken me 17.2 days to download the AVG software, but I got it and it worked until 'Broadband'.

I've been to the AVG site and couldn't find anything so I don't have a clue how to fix this. Has anyone else had this problem...anyone else want to reconvert to dial-up with me...anyone...?

 

Okay, I fixed it. In case anyone else needs this, in the update manager, settings, dial-up page I had to untick the 'use dial-up connections' box and now I can update.

I guess I'll keep my broadband
