Hello fellow "geeks",


For those of you that looked at my unusual problem I now have an answer. It's not something most geeks would know unless they had "Direcway" satelllite ISP AND liked "thegolfchannel.com" website.

ANSWER: After several hours with "beginning" tech-support then being transferred to the next line of support I was told (and they concurred with their own tests) that Direcway was having some aspects of their server being "blocked" by "thegolfchannel". I finally got a call back from the most senior tech-support rep to confirm this. He then gave me a special HTTP proxy server number and a special port number and "wa-la". He suggested that the browser could be a bit slower as a result but I haven't notice it at this point.

So, if anyone you know gives you this familiar story, sent 'em my way and I'll speed up their remedy.
