I have used Firefox 57 for years just because I like the Walnut for Firefox theme. How can I update Firefox to a much later version and still keep the theme I love or something similar like OldWood Rough II by Mr. Cline?

When you update Firefox (or pretty much any browser), it reopens with your selected theme and extensions. Unless, I suppose, it's something specifically withdrawn??

Not that you asked, but browser, text, emails -- these 'windows to the world' apps need to be kept up to date! I too started using Firefox with v57. Still have the same exact themes for my various profiles. YMMV.

The theme I was using, broke things. That's why I replaced it.

Thanks to everybody! I'll check out the suggestions for wood looks and maybe install one of them before I update Firefox.

I updated Firefox to version 109 and found a theme called Walnut Light 2.0 that I can live with. That solves my initial problem. Like a lot of folks, I have trouble with "change" so now I'm getting used to the new Firefox!
My thanks to all for the suggestion and advice.
