Thermal Paste

    Does the installation of all new chips require that thermal paste be used? Does the paste always come with the chip?

    Yes all CPU require Thermal paste or pad between it & the HS.

    It does not come with OEM CPU's, it usually comes with any new HS, sometimes pre applied to the HS

    Retail CPU/HSF will come with pre applied to the HS

    When I buy a new chip is a HS included or do I attach the chip to the current HS?
