Is it better to make a thin big water block, or is it better to make a thick small water block?

    Sorry for the late reply.

Depends on the pressure and flow rate of your system,if you use a high pressure low flow pump a small waterblock will work fine,if you use a high flowrate low pressure pump a small waterblock will restrict your flowrate.

When observing water block roundup reviews the results of each block vary wildly depending on the pump used, one block could be head and tails above the rest until a different pump is used then the whole leaderboard gets flipped on its head.

If you have a small block and can pump through lots of water then in general it will give better results as outer most edge or surface area of the water is in contact with the inner surfaces of the blocks channels,if you have a large block then most of the water will just get pumped straight through without absorbing any heat.

I would go for a block size almost identical to most consumer blocks then experiment with channels slightly larger and narrower.

    Thank you for your reply.

It is really interesting what you said about the pump. I'm glad you mentioned that :)

    Thank you again!
