Hallo!I have a a ThinkCentre M-series machine and I wanted to remove Windows and install Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.2.

On the BIOS settings I have boot sequence to start with DVD Optical Drive,Boot Mode UEFI and on ATA Dreive setup I have set configure SATA as IDE but When I boot the machine with the Linux OS the OS loads briefly then the machine goes to standby.

I have tried Multiple combinations of BIOS settings e.g Boot Mode Auto or Legacy or configure SATA as IDE or AHCI but some of these options don’t even boot the Linux OS.

Please give me the right BIOS settings that will enable me Boot the Linux OS.

    Thanks.

    Greetings, 4joey1.

    Couple of questions:

    1. What are you using to attempt to load Linux - is this a downloaded & burned image? If so, you might try re-downloading and recreating the bootable disk.

    2. Will the machine boot to any other disk (Windows, etc.)?
