Third Party File Search?

Windows 7 file indexing on my gamer was being such a pest I disabled it.

Is there a third party file search application? My needs are simple, search for title, type (extension), size and be able to specify a location.
Or perhaps I can configure Win7 to only index titles and index at 2:00 AM?

has a tutorial on Win7, but when I index all I need the system performance takes a big hit because it indexes too much.

 

Actually, i believe you can actually set a schedule for the indexer. I am not on my Win7 machine at the moment so i can't check for you, but you might be able to find something on google.
If all else fails, you could probably add the index service as a scheduled task via the control panel.

 

I found this back in March 2010 but have not used it.

Thanks, tried to set up the Win 7 indexer and it started up while I was gaming ><. I will give the third party apps a try.
