this box

this box, whilst I type is black

highlight here: this I can see very well its a light color on a dark background


how do I fix it, I do not see a place for it up there and I don't know how I did it?

 

Id help you but I cant figure out what you are trying to say and it probably has to do with the 3 glasses of coke and vodka I just had

 

Normally you get a color by clicking the [color] drop-down box above your post and putting text into the small text box, which would be hard to do accidentally, or by manually keying in the html bracket code around the colored words, like this:
[ COLOR=Red ]text text text[ /COLOR ] without the spaces between the [ & ] brackets (I stuck those in so you can read it rather than seeing text text text If you're not doing the above, I don't know how you're getting colored text. (shrug)

To remove the color, you edit your post and remove the brackets and the code inside them and just leave your text, but you've only got a couple of minutes to do that before edit option is removed.

 

its not the text I am having trouble with. . its the background
lets say the background color is normally white
when I type, here to post the background is dark grey
but after I click"post reply" and it shows my new post in th thread it is normal

 

Don't know why anything would have changed by go up to the left hand corner and click on USER CP

Go under Setting & Options and click on Edit Options.

Go down to the bottom where there is the section called Misc. Options.

What do you have selected for your "editor" -- the drop down has
Basic Editor
Standard Editor
Enhanced Editor

I was having a lot of trouble with the Enhanced Editor and changed to the "Standard Editor"

Or PM one of the moderators to see what's going on if this doesn't make a difference.
