this driver is blocked due to compatibility issues

i get this message evrytime i boot up:"this driver is blocked due to compatibility issues". i click "check for solutions online" and it returns that no solutions were found and windows will notify me when one is found. the driver is: cd recording software. the publisher is: roxio, inc. location: unknown. i check add/ remove programs and roxio (or anything related) is not listed in windows or ccleaner. i downloaded revo and still no roxio. i download search everything to no avail. i want roxio and everything associated with it off my computer. os: windows vista home premium 32-bit sp1 on dell inspiron e1705 laptop. any and all assistance in solving this issue is MUCH APPRECIATED!

Is anything related to roxio listed in startup? CCleaner will show Startup under the Tools button.

 

just checked ccleaner startup and msconfig startup nothing roxio

 

I'll look around the net in the morning to see what I can find. With a search term like roxio and all the problems they cause I'm sure I'll get a million hits.

 

Drive Letter Access driver...

 

Check for "Drag to Disk" in Add/Remove programs. That part of Roxio seems to create problems specifically for Dell computers.

 

much thanks to all who took the time to look into this for me. i found a solution for anybody who just wants roxio gone from their pc. heres the link to roxio zap:

Thanks for letting us know how you resolved the problem. Good to know that a utility exists to remove Roxio remnants after an uninstall.
