Hollywood is obsessed with women fighting these days,get a clue THEY CANT!Its just corney,all women actresses have to do is have a one photo mixed into the cgi action clips,then halfway through the movie they do some real acting by washing a car in their skimpies to lure some guy portrayed as a regular dumb guy into their honey trap

then one of the girls gets interviewed about the film

"were not just hot girls we can think and fight,each of us has special skills like hacking and weapons and that other one what is?OH yeh engines,girls dont just spend all day putting makeup on"

Two notable exceptions to that off the top of my head is Uma Thurman in Kill Bill and the girl who played River in Serenity. They both kicked copious amounts of butt.

 

Just a small Axe to grind,I think Kill bill is the most over rated film in history IMHO ,aint seen serenity yet

 

Uma was good but the cheesy lines got a bit annoying by the end of the second one.

 

My fiance informs me that this is the point of the film i am sorry for my earlier comment.

 

I totally agree, I didn't particularly like the film (I thought the second one was a bit better though, had less of the cheesy fake blood thing going on), but she did kick butt in it. And how can you not have seen Serenity and be posting on a geek website?????

Those are cinema releases, last I heard serenity was only gonna be out to buy and rent 20th december just in time for christmas,if it has been released I aint seen it in the local dvd store

 

MAN yes Serenity was released a while ago! I went to see it the day it launched.

DVD - no it's not released yet, but you can pre-order on lovefilm.co.uk if you're into the rental thing.

Oh and I guess I misinturpreted your post a bit These rich actressy types really irritate me, but you know what irritates me more? People who BEHAVE like them, but don't actually have any talent or wealth to back it up. Those people... just... GRR!

 

If you look at some male action heroes,chuck norris,jackie chan,ect they play lead roles in action films and can back up what they do on screen with what they do in real life,so what if they arnt the best looking guys its an action fighting film thats what people wanted to see great fight moves not these no talent bimbo's,its the casting guys that do it,rather than expanding the roles less attractive talented martial arts women can perform and showing that women can fight, they continue to go with the eye candy which does the opposite by degrading women, its so unrealistic we just think it BS

No way im watching that crap, was never a DOA fan but this is probably what seems to be the worse game to movie conversion(maybe along with doom?). I loved Kill Bill 1/2 (1 more then 2), the movie was meant to be over acted and over cheesy, meant to immitate old kung fu styled movies made way back in the day. Never seen Serenity though.

 

Sin city,now theres a great film that tarantino helped direct,one of the few films I can just stick on when theres nothing on TV and enjoy every minute,its just such a beautiful film and so stylish,

After watching it I always fancy a game on Max payne,but I traded both of my copies in for operation flashpoint GOTY ,gotta buy them both again

Totally. I've got Max Payne 2 sitting on my shelf and I've never played it! *gasp* My graphics card isn't good enough!

 

I played max payne 2 on an xp1900 with fx 5700 with everything near max 10 x 7 with almost no slowdown, is the LE that much further behind an fx 5700?

 

Apparently. It runs so bad its unbelivable. Might be another problem, but I've not really had time to check it out. Might give it a go this evening, since I've got a little bit of time to spare.

 

LE/SE are horrible versions of decent cards.

nah not seen doom,from the few clips I'v seen it looks a an average zombie fest and little tongue in cheek that doesnt take itself too seriously,a coversion I liked was resident evil I think they hit the nail on the head with spooky umbrella corporation it captured the dark and deadly sense of the game great,some cool opening scenes with the homicidal computer and a good mystery story.

I just wish it was a little longer if they'd have added on another 30 mins to bring it up to 2 hours I think it would have been a classic
