Those of us here who are aware of an old trick that earned a new name will find this interesting. If you're not familiar with "Advanced Volatile Threat", you very likely soon will be.

by CYNTHIA MCFADDEN, WILLIAM M. ARKIN and KEVIN MONAHAN

As a former head of the KGB Mr. Putin is doing what he was trained to do, that is, to penetrate and destabilize the government of an enemy(the USA).

Still around and still trusted to tell the truth. Unlike some like Breitbart, Fox and some radio speakers like Rush Limbaugh, the oxycodone user and others of the same ilk like Hannity. Yuck!

    https://www.vox.com/world/2017/6/13/15791744/russia-election-39-states-hack-putin-trump-sessions

Lisa Monaco, President Obama’s top homeland security and counterterrorism adviser, describes a White House afraid of “doing the Russians’ work for them.” By going public before the election with evidence that the Kremlin was trying to help Donald Trump , the Obama team feared it would be accused of intervening to help Hillary Clinton. So it mostly kept quiet despite intense lobbying from fellow Democrats to say more before the voting.

So, it was damned if you do and damned if you don't for Obama.... What a terrible place it was to be in for Obama.

PS: Ronald Reagan used to say: Together let us make America great again. Sounds familiar????

Just out of curiosity, what do you consider Hannity's top 3 lies for 2017-2018 to be?

    I've created a monster!

    Come on Fred; BREITBART FCOL!

ITTLCD is class. There should be a certain modicum of respect in any society. I feel like Trump defies even that.

Getting back to OP, any veterans care to chime in on volatile memory based malware?

Of course, and I could probably find a similar amount on Obama if that was my only search. You brought up that he has been dishonest, and I was curious what specific facts you have. A Google search... Really, you can find many things on the internet, but I asked you to list your 3 favorite ones.

Actually, after reading your op, I got to thinking of some of the original virus' I ran into back in the days of using Xerox 286 pc's and going thru tons of floppy disks. I remembered getting the 'monkey' virus a few times. Try looking that up on google now and see what the results bring up! The world has changed that's for sure.
I remember getting another one that could reside on the ram board somehow and I kept ram boards and chips around for a while.
I got to reading up on it 'fileless malware' and realized how it might relate to your post. Seems these can stay in memory until a reboot. But by then could have migrated thru the network and could remain alive for quite a long time. If stealing data it could keep on stealing as long as a networked pc still had yet to reboot. And from what I saw it seems powershell can be used by the malware since it's already 'whitelisted' and can do most anything an admin or hacker would want or need. I'm sure if a hacker, state or group or individuals, put it to task that voter registration rolls could get fairly hosed by changing records in the data base. May be that this has already been tried to see it work, then put it on a back burner for a rainy day.
We went to so much electronic votes with all the problems with paper ballots that probably are opening ways for a lot more than just 'meddled' with, but actually compromised.

What is your train of thought with your post? It has me curious more than the topics in the posts after #1
