I installed a linskys wireless router a couple of weeks ago. There are two PC's on the network. Print and file share in un-installed on both. The work group is the same on both and is 13 characters. The PC that is wireless (the other is using a cat 5) has a network place called princess69. Cant seem to get rid of it. Same protection on both which is: AVG, Adaware, windows defender, spybot search and destroy, spywear blaster, and I use firefox with script blocking. I have windows firewall on and the Linskys security is set to high. I update and run all my Software at least once a week. AVG every day. Got any clues?

Also .. I changed the workgroup when i installed the new hardware.

This is the wireless. The Cat 5 connect doesn't Have the network place on it.

Are any networks with no security showing in your wifi list?
Have you spoken to your neighbours?

they all have no security. and nope don't talk to my neighbors. I tried to establish security but it wont take. Keeps going back to disabled.

Exactly what do you mean by "the Linskys security is set to high"? Are you referring to settings in you enabled in the router admin panel? What type of security do you have enabled in your router? WEP? WPA?

Have you changed the default password on your router to something more secure?

Yes i was speaking of router admin panel. Under Profiles tab profiles have psk2. Under site servey all the channels say disabled. I highlighted the princess folder and deleted it also. Linksys support was no help when I called.

Sounds like your computer is seeing somebody else's wireless network. Nothing unusual about that. Your main concern should be whether others can access your network and, since you have high security set in your router, you can be confident they can't access your network. However, they may see your network name, just as you are seeing someone else's network named princess69.
