I always get one or rarely two caramel macchiato venti's from Starbucks

Notice to make the story interesting the reporter has invent a coffee that Starbucks won't even be selling anyway?

EDIT And if I'm paying nearly £5 for cup of coffee there damn well had be 500 calories in it.:-D

 

I do love coffee, but what does the vile thing they sell at Starbucks have to do with it? :confused :-D

 

That is the exact same thing my wife gets at Starbucks . . . if I wanted a dessert I'd buy a chocolate malt. Just gimme a cup of coffee, please!

Exactly . . . I don't even like their "regular" coffee. Tastes burnt to me uke

I prefer my worst coffee to theirs - and some of mine has literally peeled the paint off a military vehicle. :-D

 

Didn't know that you would think that Starbucks coffee whas vile, i thought all coffee was more or less the same, Vile, see i don't drink the stuff at all ! uke

 

Try a demitasse of Greek coffee and an ouzo. :yum:yum

 

Coffee is different the same way whiskey and wine is different. Different regions, different manufacturing processes, all add their own characteristics to the flavor.

Starbucks coffee tastes "burnt" to me, like Spad said, and so I don't like it at all. I think their idea of dark roast is to blacken the beans in too high a temperature or something like that... yuck.

 

Think i'd be saying YUCK too !

I think Starbucks coffee is the best coffee you can buy from a shop,I think the coffee I make at home is better but not by much.

Costa coffee now that is a bad coffee IMO.

 

Let me go take a photo of the 1 week old Mr Coffee Nylon basket filter deal and see all the oil STILL remaining from the ONE time I ran 2 spoons of 4 of Starbucks in it. YUCK!

They roast in-house, let you sample before buying, and they sell the coffee beans. And will of course grind them for you if you want. I said," no thanks, but could you sell me a coffee grinder?" LOL

They're local to the north-west US, so if you don't live in one of the cities they have shops in, you're out of luck.

 

On the subject of Starbucks, I have received no less than 6 eMails from then today urging me to try them.

Really?!? To me, Starbucks tastes like it was strained through old sweat socks. It's only marginally palatable if you get one of the creations with syrups and whipped cream to hide the taste of the coffee.

 

Yeah,I like the cappuccino as well.I know what you mean by the sweaty socks taste and I know what causes it,its when the coffee is over strained usually caused by a weak measure of coffee.

You can ask for an extra shot of espresso,I ALWAYS do.

 

We have a Starbucks in the area where i live in the UK, but as i said i don't drink the stuff, so i wouldn't know, but with all the hype about them, you would think they would sell good coffee to their customers !

 

I live in the land of Starbucks, my partner in crime at the next desk over used to write code for them before he found this gig, but back to java, it's everywhere in these parts and for my buck Stumptown is my choice for beans, and if i want something served to me, cowgirls espresso is a pretty good, especially on Catholic school girl day:innocent:yum. Oh i think they may make coffee drinks also :rolleyes
