"This program cannot display this webpage"

So I was downloading a song off a free site and then a couple mins later a white page shows up saying "This program cannot display this webpage" but I couldn't get it off.

I turned off the PC by the button, put it back on and it came up again and I was unable to do a thing.

I turned it off and put it back on and this time picked safe mode and a primitive desktop loaded up but the internet wasnt working now, I went on mcaffee and ran a scan and it found 0 problems so I turned it off and put it back on normally but this white page has come up again.

Please tell me what to do!

 

Sounds like maybe a malware was picked up, there are many sites that offer free content like this and are actually attack sites. Or a link on the page they have no control of sent you to a "bad place."
