this thing hates me

since i have started trying to get rid of so many virus problems and such my computer has started doing other odd things. like some files when i open them will start to load and everything but when it comes time to open they just dissapear and also the start tab at the bottom keeps freezing so i have to control/alt/delete just to be able to get to certain windows. is there a specific reason this is happening?

 

I can't answer your question, but I can help you get an answer. First, some details...what OS? What programs did you use to try and remove your problems? Try and put as many details in as possible, and these guys usually will be able to help you. It will seem like a lot of info, but that is what solves problems-the right info.

i downloaded all the suggested programs from this site. i tried to start the process of hijack this. my computer has just started denying me. like if i try to open certain folders or programs i get a thing that says "windows had an error and needs to close" and that program or whatever closes. i had to do a system restore yesterday or the day before and some of my stuff is gone that had been there longer than a day. limewire wont open either. it initializes but just dissapears. my "music" folder on my desktop also will not open.

 

The first thing to try is boot into Safe Mode and run Ad-aware, spybot etc. then hopefully any nasties won't be loaded as they may well be during a normal boot.

 

I would say hit the spyware forum and have them check everything and clean you out. Once there done that if you still have problems come back here and we will help you. If you ask me sounds like the registry has alot of corruptions. Try using the registry cleaner on ccleaner or if you have somthing that is usefull for that get it up to date and run it and clean what it finds.
