I hardly think a question about munged HTML qualifies as an "interesting link" !!!!

By that definition, every last link for software, hardware, networking, debugging -- everything, really -- should be moved here.

On top of which, I added "Are others seeing this?", i.e., is it somehow a (browser?) problem on my end. It was clearly a question about HTML markup.

So how about leaving this on the RELEVENT board?!

    Thanks!

So is this YOUR website thats having the issue?

SO what if some one page on a website is reversed, hardly end of the work stuff and again if you cannot control that webpage and make the changes needed to fix it, then ITS NOT a tech support question! and if it was about HTML Markup the the PROGRAMMING forum area was best not the Software one :rolleyes

yes I see the same issue, HERES a thought have you emailed the webmaster of that site to ask them of the issue your and likely the whole world are seeing? I'm guessing NO.

Not my website. But it is my computer/browser which is displaying the page(s) backwards.

IMHO, an "interesting link" would be one with interesting content. A news story, a coupon for Ben & Jerry's, some porn even. There is nothing of interest on the Charlestown Patriot-Bridge page other than the HTML issue. Nor would I send anyone from MajorGeeks over there other than to view and comment on the HTML issue.

I will agree that this belongs on the Programming board, however. I guess I missed that while looking for an "HTML Board" specifically. Not 100% clear on the line between "Programming" and "Software", but it's certainly way more appropriate than some "Off Topic" board.

Much obliged if you have the power to correct this. Or poke the person who did it in the first place.

    TIA!

Its not an issue YOU can fix, the webmaster of those sites is the only one that can fix this as I see the same issue and I know its not my browser, so theres your answer, its not going to change from not being your browsers issue.

If the webmaster of those sites wishes to post here for support then they are welcome too.

Well you'd be poking me, and thats not a direction to go in :)

I gotcha, I have now emailed the retsambew as suggested.

Again, tho, I don't really care whether they fix it or not. The page is immaterial. I'd just like to know how/why this occurs.

Might I ask you to have a peak at "view source"? Is it something to do with that <p class="HPtour"> tag? And <span class="HPtour"> to unbreak the curse?

Nothing else obvious at the appropriate points.

I have no idea what you are/were seeing, as you didn't provide a description or screenshot. Also, a coherent question such as "What caused that behavior?" would help forum-goers understand what you are seeking from your post.

For future reference, the Programming sub-forum is for questions about any programming language, web or otherwise.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, I get it! The Programming board -- I've already stipulated to the fact that it should have gone there!

Whether Halo wants to move it again is up to him. I'm just interested in whether anyone here knows enough HTML to explain what's going on....

BTW, you certainly don't need a screenshot if it has been established that the "whole world" is seeing it the same way as me! I posted 3 working links and the content hasn't changed since I did. The "screenshot" will be on your own screen if you just click on one!

    :-D

Anyway, much obliged if anyone here knows a spot of HTML...or LMTH, as the case may be....

NOT the "whole world" is seeing it the same way as you! I'm sure that SWario is able to click on a link (btw, other guys too). So, when I did it I saw a web site like thousends before (browser Firefox). Only after I opened it using the InternetExplorer I saw the "mirror image". Don't be condescending next time and maybe give more explanations instead.

"Whole world" was Halo's line, not mine.

I pretty much took that as "no further detail needed".
