thumb drive/usb

    I have thumb drives that work on computer a and b but not on c. when i plug it in, the light flashes, but does not open. When i go to my computer it shows up but when i click to open, nothing happens. i uninstalled and reinstalled the drives hoping that would solve the issue but it did not. i also tried to restore to an earlier date but to no prevail. any ideas!! thanks in advance

    Can't come up with any Corporal

    Other than backing up your data, formatting it on a functional computer then trying it out, I don't see many other options. Probably not what you want to here, but sometimes it's just not worth the headache. Especially given the price of usb thumb drives now a days.

    What version of Windows is computer C running?
    How is the USB stick formatted? (Right click the stick while it is in computer A or B and select properties).
    What size stick is it?
