Thunderbird Updates

I realize that MG is one of the all-time super-dooper websites for software updates and hardware info. But I gotta ask: how is it that Thunderbird version 2.0.0.18 is available here but not at the Thunderbird site?

I tried updating via T-bird's manu, but it said no new updates available. And when I went to http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/ and tried to download the program there, it wanted to send 2.0.0.17.

If it was any other site, I'd be suspicious. So, what's the secret?

Hi

At times I know MajorAttitude one of the owners and updaters of the sites listings does review the FTP locations to Mozilla and thats where the new, beta, nightly builds are listed, so at times new builds are listed their before filtering to the main Mozilla downloads site.

Hi

I downloaded and installed this from this page Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.18 and ran the installer as defualt settings all the way and the version is English (ok American English if we are picky)

But try again from link I provided earlier as it is indeed english and the download is direct off Mozilla's site.
