Thunderbird

I use Thunderbird as my email client (2.0.0.17).
I want to use MozBackup 1.4.8 to back up all my settings, etc.
The way I backup is fine (backing up the default profile)
However, when I restore the file, and I go back into Thunderbird, the files aren't there.
Can anyone give me help as as to why?

I was just going to reply and say wait for you to explain why copying a profile won't work.

I will read your links but when trying MozBackup for the first time on a Thunderbird profile. I get this message in the screenshot below and when trying to Restore using that backup get a message "missing or corrupt". Probably much like the original poster. Any quick hints?

Interesting, everything works with MozBackup this time. I tried it 3 times (using defaults) before posting and got the same error. I just tried it now in the following order:

1) Just email
2) Everything except email
3) Everything including email [Worked fine!]
4) Repeated 3 times--Using everything including Email and it worked fine. [I had tried using the defaults also three times before and always gotten the error in the attachment).

Can you tell us if this error is when using MozBackup or manually Copying and Overwriting the Profile folder?

Again, I have to defer to MarkTrent, he really knows his Mozilla stuff.
