Thx For The Worthless (so Far) Malawarebytes Recommendation.

I bought Malwarebytes on a special (discount) offered by them, but apparently special price deals don't get any support (?) ... been several days (3-4) now and they still haven't responded to my phone not getting their program.

I should have paid the extra DOLLAR (literally...or maybe it was $5 but still...) and taken the BitDefender offer. So far, Malawarebytes - BiTES.

 

Thank you, will do, and I need to make two (2) corrections:

1. Only about 48 to 72 hours had lapsed when I stated it had been "3-4 days", and (2) their Support had actually already sent an email earlier in the day that I overlooked, albeit the same Robo-Form Install instructions that I had already attempted once - and which failed exactly the same the 2nd time through.

 

Hi, I would throw out Malwarebytes, it slows the system too much(browsing, etc.) & get Bitdefender, I have had Bitdefender Total Security for 5 years now & until this day I have no regrets+Bitdefender got so much more, one thing a real good Ransomware module, sorry for meddling.

 

I have also myself thrown out malwarebytes and moved to Kaspersky Security Cloud Personal. Since I have uninstalled Malwarebytes my system has speed up immensely.

 

The gent who created MalwareBytes is basically a teenage prodigy. Read up on Kleczynski and get back to us about anti-malware effectiveness.

No software is perfect, and speed isn't everything. Those of us who were there, know how useless McAfee and Symantec had become, and were for quite some time going forward from there. "RogueRemover" was a leap forward, and I still use MalwareBytes to this day.

Just because something is slow (which is just a relative term anyway) on your build doesn't make it ineffective.

 

Been using MBAM for many years now, and the only things that are slow are opening the main program windows and some occasional updates. Scans are fast. Protection is world class.
