    Yes Yes ....

Well just to get an understanding in regard to 'NICK ADSL UK's post:

The term 'Delivered to' as I understand it, is that ALL new PC's being delivered to one's home will be packaged naturally with SP-2 in it's operating system - correct?

If one already has SP-1, or SP-1a, already running in their home system, they still can continue to use their current OS (as is)? Yes?

If they wish to obtain a Microsoft Update for SP-2, they can do so as they wish - yes?

    OR

Will current SP-1 users suddenly have their current OS de-activated?

If one wishes to re-format their systems with their 'Original Restore Disc' of SP-1, then where's the problem?

Yes it is true that SP-2 offers more security - but to whom?

To the average PC user - yes indeed!

But for someone who may be running their business on software that will NOT function properly within SP-2, then this is a misfortune .....a disservice... and as far as I'm concerned Microsoft has YET to address these issues....

    Thanx

Regardless of the points you make, sooner or later SP2 will be a pre-requisite if you want to install any future critical patches.
