Time-lapse webcam footage

My friend has a logitech quickcam pro, and he has some software that came with the camera which allows him to make "time lapse" animation with the camera. As far as i know it just takes one frame every 5 seconds.

What I am looking for is software that will do this with ANY webcam, for freeware, or at least really cheap and safe to order. I have a logitech quickcam express.

 

Yeah, like that! Im trying somthing called Willing Webcam out at the moment, it seems to be alright, but im not sure about how long the shareware version will last. and it costs $30 which seems a bit much if i only want it to do one thing. I would have thought there would be a free program that just takes a snapshot every so often and sticks it in an AVI file or somthing.

Ahaa, i tried that first one out last night and took a video of my window as the sun came up, and you can select all of the entries in the log and say "make AVI" and it will make a video file for you.

I think i might buy this piece of software!
