Time Of Defiance

This is a really cool game that I came across while searching for a MMORPG. If you go to their website at www.NicelyCrafted.com you can download the full version, it comes with a 15 free day trial. Unlike most free trials you dont need to enter anything besides a vaild E-Mail Address to try it out.
Its a mixture of Westwoods and Blizzards Strategy Games and around the same concept of gate usage from the movie StarGate. You play against hundreds of people on the same map. The map size is around 4000km x 4000km. Pretty much all vessels take actual days to weeks to reach the other side of the map (if you have allies along the way to fill up on fuel), But if you allie with someone and they give you their gate number you can use your gate to teleport to them.
When you log off the servers continue to play for you from the last commands you put in, you can make routes for your transports to pick up minerals from your miners so they dont go full and stop mining all night, or you can tell them to go to the closest Colonie to drop them off, You can set your fleets to patrol perimaters or build a huge Nuclear Bomb during the weekend while your gone for your buddy next door from you, or you can build a giant ship during the night.
When I first played this game it was amazing how everything worked, Its a little hard to get started at first but I heard that their newest version has a more userfriendly interface for beginners.You can't build a perfect empire during the night due to the fact that simply mining resources and moving around takes forever, this adds a little bit more thinking on what your going to spend your precious materials on. This game is well worth a try if your into hardcore strategy.
