Time to catch up a bit

:wave I hope everyone is doing well? Have missed chatting with y'all while I've been busy and/or running around like a chicken with my head cut off! I see alot of new members here so a belated welcome to you all. It's great to see so many of the 'regulars' still here. Looks like a few of you are making good use of the shout box AND the forum...how do you find the time? LOL

I have been doing quite a bit of design work. It's frustrating trying to write out the crochet patterns...I much prefer using/doing charts but the only font I've found that has crochet symbols is seriously lacking. As I have trouble drawing a legible stick figure trying to duplicate some of the symblols...well...lets just say I think my 2 year old grandson could do a better job of it. I've also taught myself how to knit and while it's much easier than I thought it would be I have quickly learned that crocheting goes 10 times faster than knitting. Even so, I have found certain yarns are better suited to knitting than crocheting and vise versa. Same goes for actual garment construction.

I started going to a new chiropractor and he is awesome...as is all of his staff. They offer free classes on nutrition and fitness so I've been going to those too. His office is conveniently located 2 blocks from the ocean so if I have some time to kill between my appt. and a class I take a walk to the beach and hang there for a bit.

Yesterday we went to Georgia for a friends wedding. It's so sad about the fires up there. We were driving on 95 and it was so wierd...just as we hit the little bridge on the state line we ran right into the smoke cloud. Even though the actual wedding was a distance from the fires we had tiny ashes floating down on us during the outside ceremony.

Oh! Back up a minute...LOL While we were getting ready to leave for the wedding Chris says to me: "When Julie throws the bouquet if it's coming your way make sure you run like hell and get out of the line of fire." *gasp* LMAO I've never caught a bouquet so no worry there! Oh wait a minute....turns out I DID catch the bouquet this time! I 'bout fell over in shock when I did...but then I looked over at Chris...there he is standing against the wall holding his tie up over his head like he's being hung. It was hysterical...you had to be there...LMAO I can't wait to see the pictures...the photographers took quite a few of Chris and I together. The pics will be on-line in 6 weeks and we can order prints of whatever we want. How cool is that?

Enough for now...I'm sure you're bored with the reading of this...or you're thinking...Oh God! Not another one of AbbySue's 'long-winded' posts.

Glad to see you're well, wondering when you'd be popping back to say hi from your busy schedule, maybe it's just that we either have too much time on our hands or just do nothing with our lives lol!

Hey, great to see you with us, again, Abby! Nope, I never get bored reading your posts, it's nice to hear what's happening in you and Chris' part of the world. Thanks for taking the time to keep in touch.

I did hear from somewhere you were both considering changing accommodation, I don't know whether that has happened yet. Hope the transition goes along smoothly, anyway. Guess you'll both be enjoying the ride in the new truck, too.

Yes, very sad about the fires in Georgia, but on a brighter note, I'm glad the wedding went well, and you both had a blast. Pretty scary for Chris, 'bout you catching the bridal bouquet, LoL! (I can just imagine him doing the Hangman's knot thing, eh ).
