Time To Upgrade The Hp P6804 - It's Stock

Hello, I searched the tutorials, and didn't see anything related to this pc, but I guessing there is a general "how to" thread on upgrades.

My goal is increased speed (startup and processing), and since it does not past muster for Win11, if that is in the cards, that would be a bonus.

Where might I start this process to upgrade. I have the specs available, but summarizing this HP machine:

AMD Athion X2 2.80 GHz
4GB installed ram
64 bit machine
Running Win10
Baseboard Mfgr FOXCONN, 2AB7, ver1.00

What parts should I source, and what steps might I take?

First glance, best you can do is add RAM (Supports up to 8 GB on 64-bit systems (DIMMs run at DDR3-1066)) and install an SSD. If I'm looking at that exact model the CPU options are:

Once the cost start adding up you're better off you're building / buying a new PC.
