tired of no more than 100fps?

if you play any halfllife game or mod and you want to see more than 100fps on ur netgraph, type developer 1 in console and type fps_max 500....how much do YOU get?

 

Human eye can't see over 60fps anyway

You can't "see" over 60fps, but there is a noticable difference, up until about 110 fps for most people.

The only (good) reason to take a frame rate cap off is for benchmarking, really.

 

I thought this was discussed in length on how many FPS you can see and the range varies between 60-infinite...

 

I really doubt the eye can see an infinite amount.

 

It can't see an infinite ammount of "frames", but it can tell when a moving image is broken up into any number of frames per second. i.e. you're eyes arn't "in synch" with the monitor, so you will be able to notice gaps.

However, most people can't tell the difference between 110 and 200 or 500fps.
