Tivo desktop 2.7

    I need assistance with the Tivo desktop 2.7 software. Recently I purchased a new Tivo HD dvr and to my chagrin I found I was unable to use the latest Tivo software with it. I've been On phone support with several Tivo level 2 tech. agents and also on chat and phone with Microsoft.
    In my last call to Microsoft they felt that the new software ois incompatible someway with my PC. My PC is A Sony Viao all in one desktop and I am using Vista home premium w/ SP1. My ISP is Verizon and I am currently using dsl broadband.
    Originally I had ZoneAlarm Internet suite for Virus,Firewall and spy protection but uninstalled that and am now using Comodo Internet suite.
    Any suggestions or recommendations from knowledgeable users would be greatly welcome. I did uninstall the Tivo 2.7 and found an older version 2.6.2 which does work for me.

    Buggabear, wtf are you talking about. Again? Thats a link for fixing registration issues on windows 7. You need to stop responding so quick with your Google answers and start answering the ones you know the answer to. Seriously. I am going to delete all your posts next.

    Microsoft is unable to help as it sounds like a Tivo issue. Since you bought their program and Tier 2 support could not help you from Tivo, I doubt we will be of any help. You would need a Tivo guru. Obviously a software incompatibility is possible, but I doubt we will be of any more help then Microsoft and Tivo.

    Probably a Vista compatibility issue. Not too many of those goin' around...

    Could have something to do with the Comodo settings, but like you said, a Tivo guru is in order.
