tivo sucks

meaning Ive use a few different dvrs, why do they all suck in some fashion?

I have a tivo, series 3 and its the best Ive found for cost/ease of use..

but the control still sucks and I want to know if there is any solution to this issue

I NEED A STOP+Delete button

I will watch a program and whatever reason, want to stop playback and delete it
with comcast, I can do just that, stop the playback and delete(least I think its comcast)
with Tivo
I am watching program A,
I want to delete program A
I must hit the tivo button, go to the main menu---hit button--->go to NOW PLAYING LIST--> scroll to my program I was just watching(cause the cursor isnt always on the program I WAS JUST WATCHING) and hit CLEAR
why is this so hard to do? WHy cant I have more options?

 

Ummm, just a thought, maybe that's the way TIVO is set up to be.

 

what do you mean?
it's set up to be a hassle?
or did someone just not test it well because the way its set up isnt smart

speaking of poor testing/poor models with "features" that make no sense

I used to drive a ford explorer.

directly above the passenger door was a grab bar, you can hold on to to support yourself; etc
e newer models have a right arm grip not directly above the passenger seat, but 45 degrees or so in front of it
so when the passenger reaches up and gripes the handle, they block the mirror so the driver cannot see it when driving

that was also stupid design change, either someone didnt test it of ford thinks blocking the mirror can help sales?
but that is the way it is made...I cannot find any pictures of it, nor anyone else noting that awful change... on the net
I dont drive an explorer anymore.

While watching a recorded program, see if using the left arrow and then clear doesn't skip a few of those steps.
