Tls Handshake

Hi guys,
I'm quite a fan of Firfox Nightly but there is something in it that drives me absolutely mad. On most sites
I get "performing tls handshake" at the bottom left of the screen. This is okay but it slows down the appearance
of the page by up to a minute, some tiumes even more. I've been advised to go int the help/trouble shooting information/open profile folder and change "places.sql" to "places.sql.old", then leave and re-enter the browser.
This used to work but now doesn't seem to make much difference. Please help, I'd be most grateful.
