To anyone using GHOSTSURF 2005 STANDARD.

Hi,we need to know if this IP masker would slow down our comcast high speed internet connection any.We would appreciate any information,positive or negative,pertaining to this software from anyone who has used it.
Apparently this software works by redirecting internet information through anonymous hubs--whatever that means.We have`nt installed this program yet------just wondering if it could possibly ruin our perfectly running cable speeds or cable settings.Maybe better to leave well enough alone.

I tried it once just for the heck of it. You WILL experience reduced browser speeds...anything from minor to major slow downs, depending on how your surfing gets routed. Also, I found quite a few sites that wouldn't allow you to view them. Unless you have a reason to hide your IP, I'd stay away from it.

 

From a technician standpoint, I agree, beware of it. Too many times have I seen it break on a client's machine and then you don't browse at all.

I don't know much about the software past that, but just a friendly warning to be careful.
