To the minidump it goes! ntoskrnl.exe error

Hi!
I am having a few problems with my machine, and I have narrowed the problem down to the ntoskrnl.exe version: 5.1.2600.2622 (xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) being corrupt. I do not get the BSOD but many minidumps and they point to this particular file.

I have a slipstreamed XPSP2 that is a year old, but this file was updated this past May 5-1-2006.
Would the best way to repair/replace this file to run the ms update again? WindowsXP-KB890859-x86-ENU.exe

Im open to any help, as I am getting tired of saving my work every 2 seconds LOL!
