Tonsilitis .... again!

Dammit, I was feeling crappy and tired yesterday after my visit to Kingston Uni (which was uber cool... I might blog about it), and this morning I woke up and found a really nice white blob on my tonsil. Made an appointment at the doctor (aka putting the surgery on redial from 8:30 onwards in order to get a line), and they gave me some drugs. And I got some new inhalers too! So not all bad.

But yeah, feeling a bit crappy and drinking a lot of water. What sucks more is my girlfriend invited me for dinner tonight, and now I can't go I've not seen her for ages and I really miss her now

White blobs sounds like Strep, which you can get with or without tonsils. Make sure your girlfriend does't have it. You can pass it back & forth all winter if you're not careful.

 

She doesn't have it thankfully - however she did have a rather nasty bug that's going round her family now, so it's probably a good thing I didn't go over this evening!

I've been taking the drugs... lets hope I can nuke the little bastards before it gets too bad!

I got some extra sleep today too, which should have helped quite a bit

I has a cough. and a deathly cold. but i am refusing to give in to it and it's getting steadily worse. Woop. Groan. Boyfriends shouldn't be allowed to get ill. They pass things on, and you get them far worse. GROAN.

Anyway. Back to the life of school

Aww, thanks Much appriciated. You're right, boyfriends shouldn't be allowed to get ill. But I have a really crap immune system which doesn't give much of a fight to anything, for some reason. grr..

 

Hehe I have some TCP here for instrument cleaning if you want, mail me if ya want some But sorry to hear this, it's a rotten thing, I hated having it last year, stops you from doing many things.

 

Like was said earlier above...............when you can, if you keep having sore throats and frequent minor ills................you REALLY should consider having them removed. They are just big lymph nodes that fight infection and swell up and make you feel bad. I grew 5" and gained 20 pounsa in the year after I had mine out. You'll do much better, once you heal.

I've got a worryingly long course of antibiotics to take, normally I only get a 3 or 5 day course but this is an 11 day. And it's penicilin, which again I don't normally have. But I'm never against using different antibiotics.

I might get some TCP ... I know how to draw it now trichlorophenylmethyliodisalicyl ! it's a bit like aspirin, but with chlorine in it too. It's on my lab coat somewhere

Oh and according to the doctor if I'm still having problems in a couple of years time, he thinks I might want to have them out. But apparently since I'm young they'll just grow back and the stumpy bits get infected.
