Check all your extensions, etc. are updated, try creating a new Firefox profile to test (hold down Shift when you start it), try resetting Firefox (Firefox Help>Troubleshooting information>Reset Firefox button).

Longer-winded methods include starting Firefox in Safe Mode (not Windows' Safe Mode), disabling all extensions and more: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox/fix-problems

You might try Pale Moon (uses a different profile) to check if a 3rd party program or system wide plugin is to blame, you can then import the Firefox data using the Pale Moon migration tool: http://www.palemoon.org/migrationtool.shtml

Hi my fellow , also you could check your hdd

    • You can go to Start - Run devmgmt.msc - Ok - Disk Drives - you can expand the menu , there is a code in which you can identify your hdd manufacturer , you can give this code
    • You can check your Ram by going to Start - Run mdsched.exe - Ok checking the first choice
    • You can clean firefox by going to History - Clean Resent History , checking Cookies and Cache pushing clear now :wave

    wtf?

I only have issues when I go to cracked.com

    http://www.cracked.com/photoplasty_...World&wa_user3=photoshop&wa_user4=recommended

ok this site is just funny/entertaining/cerebral(kinda)

but I open of these pages and then my browser CRAWLs..
so I thought, ok, so this is me opening up too much,
so I opened 2 tabs with this site(I like the photo-contests)

    still crawled

I closed all windows all running gizmos(word, arcrobat reader. movies..Hell I even turned off my 2nd monitor and I used CCcleaner
then I OPENED ONE WINDOW googled and went back to cracked.com
and it still would take FOREVER

Do I have a slow internet?
    http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
    says
Download Speed: 3246 kbps (405.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 588 kbps (73.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

so maybe I need to do what to make my computer faster?
-get off wireless and plug in to my router?
-change my hardware? MS windows 7 64bit- SP1 AMD-FX-413- quadcore processor 8 GB RAM amd 760G

I stream netflix pretty easily, it's not instant, but I can connect and start watching a show under 5 minutes(it's hardwired to my wireless internet connection(which comes from CLEAR internet, 100% wireless)

My speed looks about average for the nation
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...stest-and-slowest-internet-speeds-in-america/

this is the ONLY Site where I just have slow issues, and I'm not sure why, as I was opening just one window/tab and it was so slow

    thoughts?

    a little later
Download Speed: 3781 kbps (472.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 669 kbps (83.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

still had issues where Firefox, (27.01) would say "NOT RESPONDING"

Have you tried the other suggestions yet?
    You're showing:
    Download Speed: 3781 kbps = 472.6 KB/sec = 3.69 Mbps.
That Washington Post article states the national average is 18.2 Mbps.

If my calculations are correct, I'm afraid the download speeds you're showing are well below the article's stated national average.

I just tried a speed test at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest. The results:
    For Chicago:
Download Speed: 28853 kbps (3606.6 KB/sec transfer rate) (or 28.85 Mbps)
Upload Speed: 5824 kbps (728 KB/sec transfer rate) (or 5.82 Mbps)
    For Dallas:
Download Speed: 28884 kbps (3610.5 KB/sec transfer rate) (or 28.88 Mbps)
Upload Speed: 5704 kbps (713 KB/sec transfer rate) (or 5.70 Mbps)
While I didn't have any problems on cracked.com, I can't say the difference in speed is why. When a page is heavily laden with scripts/flash-video it slows page loading down, so the higher the speed the better in those cases.

What speeds are you paying for?

Oh, and I'm using Pale Moon and had five tabs open at the time.

Try using a different browser. All the firefox updates as made the browser slower at loading web pages. I would go for google chrome or something with webkit engine as it's quite fast and see if you have the same problem.

    Hi

Also make sure Java and Flash are updated versions, may help. Disable any addons you may have also to see if they are slowing the page down, some ad-blockers can do this.
