   The answer is apparently NO!
   
   I ADD/REMOVE got rid of a bunch of it, downloaded and installed the latest and lost it completely on IE, had graphics w/o sound on Netscape.
   
   More random tinkering and it works on Netscape but IE is now a JAVA no-man's land, no matter how I tell IE to look at it.
   
   I guess all baby Geeks got to get burned to learn.
