Hello. I have a question regarding Word 2003 (as part of Office 2003 Pro). I'm a technical writer, & a friend helped set up some buttons on my toolbars that let me directly insert symbols without having to go through Insert, Symbol & hunting for them. This is very nice--I have certain symbols like degrees, ohms, plus/minus, etc.

The problem is that I've forgotten how this was set up originally a few years ago, & I'm not able to ask my friend how it was set up. I can get somewhat close: I can go to Tools, Customize, Insert, Symbol, & be able to drag "Symbol" to the toolbar, but that's not the same as being able to instantly insert a specific symbol. (I prefer this to keyboard shortcuts.) I'd like to add some more of these insertable symbols directly off the toolbar if I could just figure out how.

Are there any Word experts who can offer some advice? Thanks in advance!
