To be honest, I think you have already tried the only software that could help speed up those games for you, the main thing that is holding you back is hardware, CPU, RAM and Graphic Card ( btw, what card do you have ) so you can grin and bare it or at some point in future ( dependant on cash flow ) upgrade.

Options without upgrading, well limited apart from what you have tried already, but....

    A. Defrag
    B. Close all un-nessasary background tasks and if the game doesnt need internet access then turn off AntiVirus, Firewall etc

Do what halo said. You should not have too much lag from warcraft. I have a very similar computer with a 64mb video card and it has warcraft tft on it. A rarely lag unless its a 4v4 with more people. OS also makes a difference. I recently upgraded that computer to xp from win.98 and I noticed more lag. If you play 1v1 there should very little lag.

make sure the graphics are turned down as low as you can stand it too. that will help the speed.

Yep forgot about that too. For warcraft I noticed a big difference when I set the graphics from high to low. I also so a major difference in the graphics though :( .

When you start warcraft at the main menu choose options on the right. Then select video I think it is(have not played wc3 for about 5 months). There you can decrease and increase graphics settings.
