Top 5 Games

Well, my favourites are:

1) Far Cry
2) True Crimes - Streets of L.A
3) Doom 3
4) Splinter Cell - Pandora Tommorow
5) Need For Speed - Underground

They really need to re-do the Amiga hit of DELUXE GALAGA! Maybe cell shading, but with 500+ levels, plus overtime official Addons, power ups that you keep untill you die, speed increases, etc

I really want a decent game like that, I have tryed Star Monkey and Ultra Assualt by www.smallrocket.com and Alien Sky, and Atomaders, But they're isnt really anything that really 'entices' you to come back for more, anyone else remember the old Deluxe Galaga? I might get the new Amiga Emulator and give that game a whirl.. Company's are so rapped up in making these over the top PC clones of past HITS, yet they go for the over the top method and forget about the little, simplistic games that made gaming a bit of what it is today!

For crying out loud, they havent even done TETRIS correct yet! I have yet to see a tetris remake that isnt boring or just over the top CRAP! There was an amiga and Atari version of Tetris, that is you managed to get 2 rows out, the blocks inbetween would ofcourse disappear and the remaining blocks above would drop and make a THUD sound, but the more lines you got out at once, the bigger the THUD! and the screen would shake, a Tetris game like that, where the hell is it? they're more keen on the background or making the blocks 3D! Gawd I wish I knew how to develop soley my own game someday, I would remake Tetris, Deluxe Galaga and Turbo Lotus!

Call of Duty?? Wha' 'bout Call of Duty??
I'm biased, I guess...love the WW2 fps genre....

1. Call of Duty- Single player is great..immersive w/great graphics and feel. The multiplay...BETTER!!!

2. GTA V.C.- Yes, I own ALL of Vice City....but still play it!!

3. Doom 3- I just can't get out Hell....I'm obsessed!

4. Star Wars K.O.T.O.R.- Not really a rpg fan, but this one got me...

5. MOHAA- An 'aging' series (still gotta get 'Rising Sun'), but again, the WW2 fps thing.....the online play is adictive

P.S.- Battlefield Vietnam almost made the cut......but the server menu/support really....really sucks!

Yes, I know the first 4 are really old, but just get M.A.M.E. and play them...oh the memories!
And yes I am playing D3, scary, but I don't think it will last for 15+ years like the classics!

I played Redeemer Arena... that is some crazy ass sh!z! The trick is to hide behind walls somehow stone walls completley dissapate the power of a mini-nuclear explosion

 

#1 - Half-life - All the mods and the original
#2 - Doom series - started a revolution, and just gets better with doom3
#3 - UT2004 - Great game all around
#4 - Battlefield 1942 - DC and DCX mods
#5 - Warcraft 3 - had to put something other that FPS in there
