Toshiba A110 laptop sudden off

    Older Satellite A110-293 (2006 Centrino 1.86 GHz, 0.5 GB RAM info here http://www.toshiba.eu/discontinued-products/satellite-a110-293/
    After half an hour of normal use stops. Shutdown is complete, do not hibernate. Can anything be done?
    It is not by chance that the first generation of processors of this type that had a problem with heating?

    The first thing to check is the internal cooling fan. When the PC is on, hold it up to your ear. If the fan isn't spinning, you'll need to replace it.

    Assuming the internal fan checks out, consider buying a cooling stand/base like this. In some cases, this will provide enough extra cooling to keep the PC from overheating.
